True to its "fruity" (Himbeere is German for Raspberry) name, this summery drink, Berliner Weisse-style, features refreshing, mildly sour, summery components. With its 3.8% alcohol and the appealing pink crown of foam, it is wonderfully suitable as an aperitif. The mash of Premium Pilsner Malt is augmented by small portions of CARAHELL® and creamy wheat malt, all supported by Callista, a hop packed with etheric red grapefruit and raspberry aromatics. In the lagering tank, the brew receives an addition of puréed fresh raspberries, resulting in a soft, rounded mouthfeel and a crisp, dry finish.

Sticke Alt – an unusual name for an unusual beer. The name is derived from “stickum,” which means that the master brewer was “secretly” a little more generous when weighing his raw ingredients. This is how the stronger version of Düsseldorf's Altbier, the Sticke, came into being.

We congratulate our boss Thomas Kraus-Weyermann, a child of the Hochsauerland district and shaped by Dortmund, as one of the most important brewery cities in Germany, on his 30th Weyermann® anniversary with this fine Dortmunder Export. As a beer style, the Dortmunder Export is the Westphalian answer to the Bohemian Pilsner and the Munich Helles. Just like these two lager beers, the Dortmunder brew is very refreshing. It glows golden yellow in the glass and is topped by a stable, white head of foam. The beer’s bouquet is a delicate mixture of pronounced maltiness and herbal, lemon-like hop aromas with a hint of black and red currants from noble German hops. This balance of rich malt tones and pleasantly bitter, floral hop notes continues throughout the entire taste experience. The finish is dry with mild aspects of lemon balm.

Traditionally, this beer goes well with almost any hearty dish, especially with such Westphalian specialties as kale, sausages, ham and poultry.

Lent is traditionally the time for dark double bock beers. We have followed up the old tradition of Bamberger Hofbräu and re-brewed the well-known Exquisator according to historical recipes. In the glass, the strong bock shines in dark maroon colors, crowned by fine-pored, beige foam. A delightful combination of caramel, malt notes, and roasted chestnuts, is perfectly rounded up by slihtly herbal notes of the hops. The initial taste is warming, then the rich bock beer embeds itself into the malty-aromatic body and induces to drink more – thanks to its well-balanced composition of hops. Back in the Middle Ages the friars already knew “Liquida non frangunt ieunum” – Latin for “liquids do not break the rule of lent”.

A perfect beer for lent, though, which seduces to break the rules and have a typical Franconian “Schäuferla” (pig shoulder) with it.

Bamberger Hofbräu Pils is a brilliantly golden, classic German lager from the last century. It was once the cornerstone of the portfolio of the Bamberger Hofbräu brewery, which was founded in 1885. The brewery closed its doors in 1977.

Barke® has deep and rich malt aromas reminiscent of hay, straw, cereals, and toffee, as well as superior processing characteristics in both the malt and the brew house. In the Bamberger Hofbräu Pils, the typical Barke® aromas commingle well with the noble bitterness and the herbal, floral, and fruity aromas of hops. The beer ́s finish is slightly viniferous with notes of herbs and citrus.

While Bockbiers tend to be hefty winter lagers with a color of deep mahogany to dark, the Maibock (Mai is German for May) is brilliantly amber. It is the perfect transition beer for the brief time in spring when it is already too light to hide in the dark recesses of a beer hall, but still too nippy to linger outside in a beer garden with a mug of Helles. While the ABV of this strong spring brew is a bock-like 7.2 %, the body is lean, and the finish is surprisingly refreshing.
