The Christmas drawing from the Weyermann® archives for the year 2002 depicts the first drum roaster in the new plant at 17 Brennerstgrasse following the move from Laurenzistrasse, where it all began.
These roasting machines, state-of-the-art in their day, were deployed in the first biulding alongside the railway line.
In all, 12 roasting machines worked day and night to keep up with demand.
