In 1903 company founder, Johann Baptist Weyermann, after thorough comparison of all malting systems available at the time, decided on the construction of the pneumatic Malthouse - the Galland System.
Compared with the conventional floor malting house, the drum malting house offered an enormous saving on space together with crucial quality improvements through precise airation and conditioning (cooling and humidity control).
